Fresh off a good week, with two wins against Arsenal and Man City, Chelsea are looking to keep the momentum going against Spurs in the Conti Cup. The game is at 7pm UK time and will be available to watch on the 5th Stand app or YouTube.
As the squad returns from their respective national team duties, the only injury to report is Fran Kirby being out for a number of weeks after picking up an ankle injury. This will come as a huge bust as she’s been in form for the blues, after coming back from a virus that sidelined for the majority of last season.
Some of the players stayed at Cobham are Erin Cuthbert, Sam Kerr, Jessie Fleming, Ji So-Yun and Jess Carter. As Fleming has yet to make her first start for Chelsea, it would be nice for it to come tomorrow and see all her work finally paying off.
Chelsea have had two solid performances and need to build on that. Therefore, a win and a clean sheet is crucial. My prediction is a 3-0 win with Cuthbert, Kerr and England scoring.
