Chelsea play against West Brom at The Hawthorns on Saturday evening at 17:30. Kevin predicts the Chelsea lineup for the game!
Chelsea’s last game was an impressive win against Barnsley in the EFL Cup which ended 6-0 and with a Kai Havertz Hat-Trick. Chelsea will look to carry that momentum over to this game. They will also be trying to forget their last Premier League game against Liverpool.
Goalkeeper – Willy Caballero
Although Edouard Mendy was announced on Thursday he probably needs some time to get adjusted to Chelsea and train with the team. So Caballero definitely gets over Kepa Arrizabalaga in a heartbeat. Willy had a great game against Barnsley shot-stopping-wise nd right now thats all that Chelsea can ask for.
Right-Back – Reece James
Reece James did not feature against Barnsley which gave him some good rest. Frank Lampard would most likely play him for his offensive game against West Brom which will be needed. James will have no trouble running through West Brom and putting in delightful crosses.
Center-Back – Kurt Zouma
Kurt Zouma is widely recognized as Chelsea’s most inform Center-Back right now. Despite Fikayo Tomori getting back into the team, realistically Zouma starts this game as he has for all of Chelsea’s other games this season bar Barnsley.
Center-Back – Thiago Silva
Ah yes Mr. Thiago Silva. Thiago made his Chelsea debut last game against Barnsley and was nothing short of superb. I think we would all like to see Thiago’s first game and the Premier League alongside someone like Zouma or Tomori. In my opinion Thiago Silva is the best Center-Back in the Premier League and his debut for Chelsea will show everyone his quality.
Left-Back – Ben Chilwell
Chily B also made his Chelsea debut against Barnsley along with Thiago Silva. Ben came on and provided an assist to Olivier Giroud. And just like Thiago Silva will probably start. Ben will definitely be showing off his electric pace and his other qualities.
Central-Defensive-Midfield – N’Golo Kante
To make sure Chelsea limit the amount of little mistakes against a team that is very hungry for points N’golo Kante will be essential for mopping up balls across the pitch and breaking up attacks.
Central-Defensive-Midfield – Mateo Kovacic
Last year’s Chelsea Player of The Season Mateo Kovacic has once again got off to a good start. Along-side Kante, Kova’s ball progression will be essential to start Chelsea’s attacks.
Left Wing – Timo Werner
All though Timo has not yet scored for Chelsea its safe to say he has had very good impact so far and I wouldn’t doubt the fact that he will bag his first Chelsea goal.
Central-Attacking-Midfielder – Kai Havertz
Havertz scored a hat-trick last game this definitely means he has found some confidence as well as playing in his favored attacking-midfield position where he can roam around the pitch and change the whole game.
Right Wing – Callum Hudson-Odoi
CHO last game had a first half to forget, however his second half was not bad at all. Playing Callum against a team like West Brom could really do wonders his confidence if he has a good game or scores which is very likely.
Striker – Tammy Abraham
I don’t think anyone can argue with this. Tammy had a wonderful game against Barnsley bagging a goal and linking up beautifully with Kai Havertz. Tammy has obviously been working extremely and deserves a chance
