The Featured Three

With the introduction of a lot of new players into the team, this game can go either really poorly or really well. I think we’ll see moments in this game where we show a slight lack of chemistry, but the individual qualities in this team will be enough to give us a comfortable victory over the Seagulls.

With Werner, Havertz and maybe Pulisic touted to start, I am assured there will be no lack of goals. Chelsea have been pretty crerative, but they have sorely lacked a clinical finisher. In Werner, they have found just that. As for the clean sheet, I just don’t see Brighton’s attackers troubling Caballero in net!

I believe it will be a comfortable victory for Chelsea. So for the first goal I believe it will be scored by Timo Werner after hitting the ball first time on the ground after Hudson-Odoi bursts into the box. The second goal will be scored by Kai Havertz at the back post from a volley and the ball was crossed at the edge of the box by Mason Mount. And for the third goal Christian Pulisic will dribble past the Brighton defence like he did against Liverpool and will score the goal or pass back to Werner for the goal or pass across to the back post for a Callum Hudson-Odoi tap in.

Predictions

  • Tom Overend (@tovers98): Brighton 2-4 Chelsea
  • CFCArk (@ARKCFC): Brighton 1-4 Chelsea
