In the final game of the Premier League season, Chelsea confirmed Champions league qualification by beating Wolves at Stamford Bridge. We look deep into each individual’s performance, rating each player.

Willy Caballero- 6

Almost a jobless game for the Argentinian today, replacing the usually first choice Kepa Arrizabalaga, but he was there when he was needed. He made a few decent stops throughout the game but nothing in terms of game defining saves. No real struggles. Solid game.

Antonio Rudiger- 6

Today wasn’t Rudiger’s greatest ever game, but a clean sheet is a clean sheet. Defended well at times, although he did get turned a few too many times to warrant a 7. Not too bad a performance from the German today.

Cesar Azpilcueta- 7

The captain put in a nice defensive display against Wolves today, not putting a foot wrong the whole game. Helped the blues shut up shop in the second half and overall calmed the nervous of the situation. A solid performance from the skipper!

Kurt Zouma- 7

By far Chelsea’s best defender today, Kurt Zouma was absolutely faultless. From making vital interceptions to last ditch tackles, Kurt got them all right today. Absolutely super from the French man

Marcos Alonso- 6

A somewhat quieter game for the Spaniard today, but dealt very well with the threat of Adama Traore in the second half. Looked sharp defensively and was alright going forward beside a few misplaced passes in the first half.

Reece James- 7

Another quality Reece James performance today. The man in form shone down the right wing for Chelsea, and was very good going back and forward throughout the game. Dealt with the counter attacking threat well and got a few good crosses in once again.

Jorginho- 6

A much improved game from the Italian today after the midweek performance at Liverpool. Had a shaky first 25 minutes but grew into the game as it went on. Looked good in possession and wasn’t afraid to get in a tackle.

Matteo Kovacic- 8

In an almost MOTM performance from the Croatian today, he was absolutely wonderful at breaking up the wolves play and starting attacks for the blues. A brilliant piece of work tracking back on a wolves counterattack sniffed out all the danger and was quality all game long.

Christian Pulisic- 6

Not his day today. Captain America tried very hard to be fair to him, but nothing was coming off for him. Not an overall bad performance, was just quite unlucky that things didn’t work out. Plus he was quick to be closed down by many Wolves defenders.

Olivier Giroud- 7

Another goal from the Frenchman today making it 8 in his last 10. A lovely run through the wolves defence, a touch round the keeper and a smart move to get to the finish ahead of Conner Coady. Hold up play today was pretty good and looked positive on the ball.

Mason Mount- 9

Had to be the MOTM today. Was an absolute masterclass from the youngster, showing us what he can do best. Scored a marvellous free kick just before half time, and also set up Olivier Giroud for Chelsea’s second. Looks positive on the ball and picked out so many vital passes throughout the game

Subs

Ruben Loftus-Cheek- 6

Tammy Abraham- 5

Callum Hudson-Odoi- 6

Pedro- 5

Barkley- 5
