Davide Zappacosta: Napoli 2-1 Roma

Davide Zappacosta made a rare start for his loan club in Naples, playing the full ninety minutes as Roma succumbed to a late Lorenzo Insigne winner.

It was not the best of days for the right-back, losing possession sixteen times over the course of the match.

Trevoh Chalobah: Huddersfield 0-0 Preston

It was a successful afternoon for the 21-year-old as he kept a clean sheet playing at right-back.

Trevor Chalobah has been a preferred player for Danny Cowley this season, and this faith has been repaid by another solid performance at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Jake Clarke-Salter: Fulham 1-0 Birmingham

Jake Clarke-Salter endured another frustrating game, being denied a clean sheet by a late winner five minutes into stoppage time.

The youngster enjoyed a considerably better performance than last time out, and was unfortunate to be on the losing side.

Birmingham City are not yet safe from the drop, and will require all of Clarke-Salter’s quality to avoid being drawn into a late relegation battle.

Marc Guehi and Connor Gallagher: Swansea 2-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Two of Chelsea’s most promising youngsters started for Steve Cooper’s promotion-chasing Swans at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.

Marc Guehi put in an assured performance at the centre of a back-three, anchoring the defence against numerous counter-attacks.

Connor Gallagher had a less productive afternoon, struggling for openings and being substituted in the 69th minute.

Izzy Brown: Luton 0-5 Reading

It was an afternoon to forget for Izzy Brown, on the receiving end of a five goal defeat. Brown was substituted at half-time by Nathan Jones to accommodate a tactical shift.


Matt Miazga was not involved in the matchday squad for Reading, serving a suspension for his controversial sending off last weekend.

Victor Moses did not feature for Inter Milan, missing out due to muscle fatigue

Baba Rahman remains injured, and did not feature for Real Mallorca
