Chelsea have an opportunity to end their dismal Stamford Bridge League form on Saturday as they host visitors Burnley. The Clarets travel to London in need of a positive result, as their recent form has lead them near to the relegation zone.

Chelsea started off the new year with an away trip to the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton. However, the South-West London failed to keep onto their lead as Jahanbakhsh equalized with a stunning bicycle kit in the 84th minute to ensure with the needed points in their aim to stay well clear of the bottom three.

The blues are looking to complete the league double over Burnley as the fixture between the two sides took place on October 26th. Chelsea were the clear winners on the day as they stormed to a 4-2 victory at Turf Moor. Christian Pulisic was the man of the match as he elated the Chelsea fans with his first Premier League hat-trick.

If Frank Lampard’s side are to win on Saturday afternoon, Chelsea will have their first league double over Burnley since the 2009/10 campaign.

Sean Dyche’s Burnley side have had six defeats in their last eight games. Their most recent defeat coming in a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa on New Year’s Day.

Burnley have won only one of their last 29 league games against established top-six opposition (D6, L22).
