This Sunday holds a pivotal game for Champions League qualification for Chelsea, as the Blues look to complete a league double over Watford. The previous meeting saw the
Blues capture a massive win over Watford on Boxing Day as Chelsea ran away 2-1 winners on the evening, with both goals coming from star man Eden Hazard. However this weekend’s game could bring more twists and turns for Chelsea’s season as they face an inform side who are capable of taking points off the big sides. The Blues are perhaps likely to just need four points from their final two league matches of the season to secure their return to Europe’s most illustrious competition.

The Hornets take a short trip to South West London to perhaps cause an upset at the Bridge, furthermore, many Watford fans still believe in a possible chance of playing European football. Watford who currently sit 10th in the league table are having their best Premier League season, currently 4 points outside the last Europa League place. Watford are coming off a 2-1 defeat to Wolves at home, and earlier in that week they rescued a point in the dying minutes of stoppage time over Southampton at Vicarage Road.

Chelsea , who played on Thursday evening in Germany v Frankfurt came out with another 1-1 draw. However due to the away goals rule, many Chelsea fans were jubilant with the result as now the tie balances in Chelsea’s favour as the Blues look to book their place in Baku for the Europa League final if they can take care of business at home on Thursday v Frankfurt. Our last league game ended in a 1-1 draw over United, and Chelsea are in desperate need to claim the three points this Sunday.
